This traditional pub was in danger of being turned into apartments but was saved by a local campaign. It is now run by a lovely local couple who have brought in a new chef to provide good pub grub. The ales and wines are supplied by local companies and the food is all locally sourced. There is a different menu each day. It’s privately owned which sets it apart from all the brewery controlled pubs and gives it a unique atmosphere. Next to the Test Way, many guests take a walk beforehand to whip up their appetites.
