Went there for my girlfriends birthday with a table booked a week before for 30 people of which they said no problem, arrive got seated and ordered then problems arrived!
The last people to order were 7.45 last people to get food was 9.40! I can understand a wait but nearly 2 hours and it was staggered over the 2 hours! I hear new management head taken over, hopefully they realise what they have taken in and buck there ideas because there’s 30 people that would never go back, and service with a smile wouldn’t go a miss!

All in All a good pub, food and drink are well priced and the food is tasty. The Sunday lunches hit the spot for me and my wife and ofcourse it is a bonus to have the kids welcomed in too.
Decor is a little dated, but I do not really care that much so long as it is clean.

Staff seem friendly enough, but not OTT

The Castle Inn is a lovely off the beaten track, countryside pub. The Landlady is really nice, friendly and accommodating. I hear she has had many problems in the past with regard to trying to keep the Pub open due to lack of trade. She has come back with vengeance and recently recruited a michelin star Chef and the food is excellent. Hope everything The Castle Inn will now be a success and the Village will support their local hostilary

I have now missed my last train after coming to this pub 3 times. I cant ever leave , its just too good.

Not the best darts board, not the best service from the manager. Not to happy my team has to play at that pub again next season.

This is a nice pub with lovely staff, but as a dart venue its not bad at all.
Good boards, great ale selection and in a part of London where every other pub has a dart board. Very nice.

This is the best darts venue I have ever played at. If I ever bought a pub, it would be just like the Porters Lodge.
Great competitions, very well run, genuine management, but mostly it has great boards all eight of them.I will be back.
